This makeup look is based on Angela’s (Anna Karina) makeup in the 1961 French film ‘La Femme Est Une Femme’ (A Woman is a Woman). This look has been done to death by loads of bloggers out there over the years, but it’s just so fun and bright that I had to give it a go!
I’ve emulated a photo and a still from the film, somehow I don’t own a red jumper, so I wore a maroon one instead. Also, I don’t smoke, so that’s why there is very obviously fake smoke coming out of the end of the “cigarette” (a rolled up piece of paper burnt at the end, ha!) !
Eye Makeup used:
- Kiko Milano pearly eye base
- Too Faced Sugar Pop Palette – I used Blue Raspberry and Rock Candy
- Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper
- Revlon Volume + Length Magnified mascara (I got this in last months Glossy Box – I have unsubscribed from this after only a month because there wasn’t an option to only receive cruelty free & vegan products. Also I thought it was going to be mostly makeup… how wrong I was! Haha)
I hope you enjoyed this look! What would you like to see next? I’m thinking either 1920s inspired, or Audrey Horne from Twin Peaks!
